Digital Empowerment Hub

To promote rights-based digital governance, DHRP has gathered hundreds of training tools to enable everyone to know and share their human rights in the digital age. Search and discover online courses, toolkits, videos and workshop guides, and share on.

Using the Digital Empowerment Library

Combing the sites of universities and leading human rights groups, DHRP researchers have curated a free library of 200+ third party training tools and resources on digital health, Artificial intelligence (AI), digital literacy, online gender-based-violence, privacy, and more. Use these for self-paced learning or to train others in classes and workshops. Search by: Manual, Curriculum, Online Course, Report, Toolkit, Webinar and Videos in a variety of languages.

Featured Resource: Countering Misinformation Module

This short (30–45 minute), self-led module is designed to help users counter misinformation in or about their communities. Unlike many general resources on misinformation and disinformation, this course is tailored to the experiences of DHRP’s research participants. It draws on a survey of 25 civil society and community advisors in Colombia, Ghana, and Vietnam, who shared the types of misinformation they encounter, the strategies they use to address it, and what they wanted from a resource like this.

The module is intended for DHRP’s civil society and community partners, particularly people marginalised due to sexual orientation, gender identity, sex work occupation, or HIV status. Its scenarios are based on survey responses and wider DHRP research, but it is also suitable for activists and individuals from other backgrounds who want to address misinformation within or about their communities.
